Part of Growth, from £497 a month

Local SEO & AEO

Outcome: Found in the map pack, and named in the AI answers, for the searches that matter in your area.

Local SEO here means optimising your Google Business Profile, fixing the website signals Google reads for local relevance, building local citations, and running a review-velocity system that compounds month after month. AEO, answer engine optimisation, is the same work aimed at the AI answers: structuring the site and the profile so ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI can read them and name you. It is part of Growth, from £497 a month, alongside a new website and the content and ads engine. I do not sell it on its own.

What problem does this solve?

When someone in your town searches for what you do, Google shows a map with three local businesses above everything else. If you are not in those three, you are effectively invisible to the highest-intent traffic there is. Most local businesses rely on word of mouth, paid ads or directories because their Google Business Profile is half-finished, the reviews are thin, and the website it links to does not say the right things in the right places. Local SEO fixes that. It is the difference between being found when it matters and being found when it does not. A growing share of those searches now happen inside an AI answer. Someone asks ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google AI who to call and gets a short list rather than ten links. Those lists are built from the same signals: your profile, your reviews, and whether your website says plainly what you do and where you do it. If Google cannot read it, neither can they.

What do you get?

I optimise your Google Business Profile, build out the categories, services and photos that drive map-pack ranking, fix the website signals Google reads for local relevance (consistent name, address and phone, schema markup, on-page geo signals), build local citations on the directories that actually move rankings, and run the review-velocity work that compounds month after month. AI handles the repetitive execution and I review everything before it goes out. Monthly reporting shows your map-pack position for the keywords that matter in your service area. The same work is what puts you in AI answers, so I do the answer engine side alongside it: schema markup that names the business, the service and the area, service pages written to answer the question a customer actually asks, and a profile description written for a reader that is a machine. That is answer engine optimisation, AEO. It is not a separate product. It is local SEO done properly for how people search now.

How does it work?

Set up and run for you, step by step.

01

Free audit of your Google Business Profile, website and local-pack visibility against the firms nearest you.

I handle this step for you as part of the Local SEO & AEO system, with no extra work on your side, running reliably every day.
02

Profile overhaul: categories, services, photos, posts, and the attributes Google uses to rank in the map pack.

03

On-page fixes: local schema, geo-modified titles, consistent contact details, and the page-level signals that match service-area searches.

04

Answer engine pass: schema, plain-language service pages and answer-first blocks, so ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI can read the site and cite it.

05

Citations built on the directories Google actually uses for local ranking in the UK.

06

Review velocity wired into your completed-job workflow so new reviews land steadily rather than in bursts.

07

Monthly report showing map-pack position for your top service-area keywords, what changed, and what is next.

Who is this for?

Local businesses whose customers search before they call anyone.
Owners paying for clicks when organic map-pack traffic is a profile overhaul away.
Anyone whose competitors show up in the map pack and they do not.

What do I need from you?

To get started, I will need:

  • Access to your Google Business Profile.
  • Your service area, as towns, postcodes or a radius.
  • A list of the searches you want to be found for. I can help you work these out.

What do business owners ask most often?

Last updated:

How long does local SEO take to show results?

Profile-level improvements such as categories, services and photos land in the first month. Movement in the map pack takes longer and depends entirely on how competitive your area and your category are, so I will not put a timeline on it before I have looked at both. You get a monthly report showing the actual position for your keywords, which is the only honest answer to this question.

What is AEO, and is it separate from SEO?

AEO is answer engine optimisation: being the business an AI names when someone asks it who to call. It is not separate. The AI answers are built from the same things Google reads, your profile, your reviews, and a website that says plainly what you do and where. What changes is the form: schema markup, service pages that answer the actual question, and a profile written so a machine can quote it. I do that inside the local SEO work rather than selling it as a second line.

Is this different from what a normal SEO agency does?

Yes. Most agencies sell you a monthly report with rankings you do not care about. This is map-pack visibility for searches your customers actually make: your profile, the local pack, and geo-modified terms, rather than SEO in the abstract. It also sits inside a system that answers the enquiry when it arrives, which is the part that usually decides whether the traffic was worth anything.

Do I need a new website?

On Growth you get one, because that is what separates Growth from Core. If your existing site is genuinely doing its job and the only problem is that nobody can find it, say so on the audit call and I will tell you honestly whether Core plus profile work gets you there.

How is this different from Google Ads?

Google Ads charge you per click and stop the moment you stop paying. Local SEO compounds, and trust is higher because Google chose to show you rather than you buying the slot. Most local businesses benefit from both, and I will tell you which to prioritise during the audit.

How much does it cost?

It is not sold on its own. Local SEO and AEO are part of Growth, which is from £497 a month and also includes a new website, a brand board, the content engine and the ads engine. Month to month, nothing metered per keyword or per click.
